Rabet
Building lasting connections between museums, young people, and the communities around them.
Rabet is a workshop programme designed to strengthen the relationship between museums and their communities. Through shared learning, conversations, and practical experiences, it creates opportunities for young people to connect with the art world and with one another.
About Rabet
A museum can be more than somewhere people visit. It can be a place where people meet, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and build relationships that continue beyond a single visit.
Rabet brings students, emerging practitioners, artists, educators, and professionals together through workshops and educational activities. The programme aims to make the museum a space for ongoing exchange, where participants can return over time as practitioners, collaborators, and mentors.
What we’re working towards
Rabet has two central aims: building an art community around the museum and creating opportunities for young people to learn through direct engagement with the art world.
01 · Build an art community
Create a welcoming community around the museum where young people can meet, exchange ideas, and develop lasting relationships with the institution.
02 · Learn through experience
Give art students and early-career practitioners opportunities to learn from professionals and gain first-hand experience of the art world.
03 · Strengthen visitor engagement
Develop workshops and educational activities that make museum visits more engaging and create reasons for people to return.
04 · Sustain long-term connections
Encourage participants to remain connected to the museum as their experience grows, returning as professionals, collaborators, and mentors.
Who’s it for?
Rabet is for students and early-career young people who want to explore the art world, learn from practitioners, and develop their relationship with museums.
It also welcomes artists, educators, and professionals interested in sharing their knowledge through talks, workshops, and conversations. The programme brings different experiences together around a shared interest in art, learning, and cultural participation.
